Abstract

From a communicative theoretical perspective based on the social concept of production, through the courses of Reading and Writing I and II, the team of professors of the Language Area worked during the year 2019 in the development of the text entitled Trajectory of the Language Area of the University of Ibagué: A path towards academic literacy, which was presented to the university community. This document is organized in five chapters, which group the information as follows: 1) Teaching; 2) Research; 3) Saber Pro Tests; 4) Extension; 5) Academic and administrative proposal.
