The objective of the study was to characterize the healthy lifestyle of a sample of dwellers from different rural areas located in Tolima, habits and risk behaviors that can affect their health were investigated. In the scoping study with cross-sectional design, 136 people participated (44.9% women and 55.1% men), between 18 and 83 years old. Questionnaires on sociodemographic data, eating habits, the AUDIT test and the CAGE were applied. The results show that men are more physically active than women. However, their eating habits are inadequate, and they have a higher or severe risk of alcohol consumption. In conclusion, it is important to provide empirical evidence to understand and intervene in the lifestyle of rural dwellers.
